What’s up first for our net game
The task for this part of the module is to work in a group to create a turn based strategy game with robust networking features.
Since none of the team had ever done a networked game inside of ASGE, this would be a steep learning curve. Alex volunteered to take the first look into networking and quickly implemented a chat box which would send packets over the web. My part of the project is more of the gameplay side of things, working out what the game will actually be and deciding how we wanted to implement it.
Our initial idea is for a WW2 themed might and magic type game. Turn based combat with a team vs team approach.
