A Brand new way to interact with the virtual world integrating deeply with Unity Physics engine.
I worked nearly solo on bringing pose recording and detection with regular code reviews and input from UX designers.
I was integral in implementing support for MRTK 3 and Unity XRI and XR hands.
During my time as a Unity Software Engineer at
Ultraleap from December 2022 to August 2024, I played a key role in the development and
maintenance of the Ultraleap Unity Plugin for hand tracking. I was responsible for creating
innovative features and demos tailored for customers and trade shows, significantly contributing
to the advancement of pose detection and physical hand functionalities within the plugin. My
work involved communicating with low-level hardware APIs to implement new features and push the
boundaries of hand tracking technology in Unity.
I ensured the creation and upkeep of comprehensive developer documentation, including a
major refactor, and developed scalable tools using SOLID principles and Agile processes. I built
applications for all Android VR platforms and Windows standalone, and closely integrated my work
with MRTK, Unity XRHands, and Unity XRI. My efforts at Ultraleap advanced the capabilities of
hand tracking technology, providing valuable solutions and enhancements to the field of virtual
reality.
